The Bitterness of a Spoiled Meringue

Probably the closest thing to a self-portait I've submitted on this account so far! That's me. Downward-pointing eyelashes and fish-lips and all.

This is the result of me being in a bad mood while making a Pavlova. ;_; I know what you're thinking. How can anybody be in a bad mood while making a Pavlova?

WELL.

My Mum and I were at loggerheads with each other for half of Saturday. Not only because of me not doing my homework but also because the mix for the meringue was not turning out like it should. During this episode, the unsatisfactory meringue mix became an analogy for all of my mistakes and flaws.

But it was okay because I put my creative mind to good use and we made a LAYERED pav in the end. Tasted great. So I was forgiven, Thank goodness. Or I'd never be able to eat another Pavlova without tasting the taste of sadness!

Just like how I will never be able to eat a certain coconutty dessert without tasting failure. ;(
